How is my move priced?
Most moves are quoted on crew size, truck and estimated time, based on what you tell us about the items and access. If the job finishes early, you’re only charged for the time used.
What size truck will I need?
We have 20m³, 33m³, 40m³, 45m³ and 65m³ trucks. As a guide, 20m³ suits a studio or small load, 33m³ a 2-bedroom home, 40m³ to 45m³ a 3 to 4-bedroom home, and 65m³ a large family home. We will recommend the right truck in your quote.
Do you offer a free walkthrough?
Yes. For homes with four or more bedrooms we offer a free walkthrough, in person or by video call, so your quote is accurate. Book one by calling 021 314 243 or messaging us on WhatsApp.
How far ahead should I book?
Two to three weeks ahead is ideal, especially for end-of-month and weekend dates. We can often fit in short-notice moves, so it’s always worth asking.
Do you move pianos and spa pools?
Yes. Upright and grand pianos, spa pools, gym equipment and artwork are all handled with the right equipment and extra protection. Let us know in the quote form so we can plan for it.
Can you pack for us?
Yes. Choose full packing, fragile-only packing, or just order boxes and materials. Add it in step four of the quote form.
Are there any hidden fees?
Your quote sets out what is included and how the price is worked out. If something changes, such as extra items or access we did not know about, we will talk to you about it before it affects your price.
What should I prepare for moving day?
Keep a clear path and parking space for the truck, set aside valuables, documents and medication to travel with you, and empty and defrost the fridge the day before. Our moving checklist covers everything week by week.
Do you provide quotes for Work and Income (WINZ)?
Yes. We are a WINZ Approved Supplier and provide clear written quotes for customers getting help with moving costs. See our WINZ moving quotes page for what to include.
Do you do exit cleans?
We do. Book a house or exit clean alongside your move so the old property is ready for handover.
What do I need to hire a truck?
For self-drive hire you’ll need a full New Zealand or valid international car licence. Bring it with you at pickup from our Onehunga depot.
